Please note that it is always good measure to power cycle your phone after these changes, to avoid any issues.

Try changing the default apn type to "default, supl" and the pxt type to "mms" save changes . then go back tick and untick mobile network and retry.

I tried adding the first APN to my HTC Desire and I still cannot use the mobile network to connect to the internet on my Desire. I added those settings in, unticked and ticked connect to mobile network, rebooted my phone. Still nothing

Does your SIM card work in another handset using mobile data?
The issue might not be with your phone

Hi,
Sorry about the delayed reply. been on holiday.
Most of the time when you can browse the web, but can't send MMS, its because the APN type isn't set correctly. Have you double checked these settings?

Hi there, Sorry for the late reply, I fixed it, you were right about the APN type. I'll post the right settings (which worked for me) in a few seconds. Thanks!

Hi there,
Please try these settings:
Settings--Wireless and Network -- Mobile networks -- Access Point Names
If you have existing settings please delete them.
Then:
You will need 2 different settings. One for the net and one for the MMS:
Vodafone Net
Name: Vodafone net
APN: www.vodafone.net.nz
Proxy:
Port:
User name:
Password:
Server:
MMSC:
MMS Proxy:
MMS port:
MCC: 530
MNC: 01
Authentication type: none
APN type: INTERNET (not internet+mms, or MMS or dont leave it on default!!)
MMS Settings:
Name: Vodafone MMS
APN: live.vodafone.com
Proxy:
Port:
User name:
Password:
Server:
MMSC: http://pxt.vodafone.net.nz/pxtsend
MMS proxy: 172.30.38.3
MMS port: 8080
MCC: 530
MNC: 01
Authentication type: none
APN type: mms
Please try these and let me know if worked or not.
These settings work for me (vodafone NZ, not 2degrees or telecom)
