Cant text cant send texts after switching to prepay

Hi,
earlier today i canceled my iphone 80 plan and asked to be switched back to prepay.
Since then i have been unable to send text messages. I can make phone calls and managed to top up and buy the txt2000 addon via telephone (the website and text methods would not allow me to) I called customer services who informed me that i would need to turn off my phone, remove the battery and sim for 3 minutes, then let the network re detect my sim.
This did not work so i rang back to customer service who then informed me that they would put me through to technical support, on informing me of this, they hung up.
I have now tried to call back only to be informed that after 8pm only general assistance can be given.
As well as this, it seems that other than the $2 i have wasted on contacting customer service and the $10 spent on txt2000, the $20 phone credit i topped up my phone which is dwindling for no apparent reason. I have also tried my sim in another phone which didnt work.
Any help would be appreciated.

I know what the SMS sending issue is PM some details tomorrow morning its 20 second fix (please do not post personal details into the forum)

The data usage is cause you have a iphone and this device is always online so its doing its job as designed

Thanks heaps, thanks to this forum i hope to never have to call customer service again Posted Image

One thing that still confuses me is that i removed the apn from the phone before i had my plan disconnected and had it connected to a home wireless network the entire time.

APN is related to the mobile data network! Sorry your post confuses me

If you had it connected to a home WLAN network, then the APN is irrelevant and not required - as John says, that is only related to the mobile data network - your home network has it's own configurations and access points.

You don't need a APN in the device to connect to the packet data network

And it must of connected to the 3G packet network at some stage or data charges would not have happened
