Excellent Customer Service - Sean!

Hi all - I have joined this forum simply to make it clear how important good service is - and Vodafone has demonstrated that to me today in spades!!

In short, we have had HUGE difficulties with a vodafone nokia bought for my daughter (almost 18) last October which this week culminated in a HUGE bill ($over 100 MORE than the contracted amount) and being unable to keep texts received or sent stored in the memory. Because my daughter was told by the techs (after receiving her phone back the second time!) to clear her mailboxes regularly, she is unable to prove that she was told she had txt availability right up to the end of her monthly contract period. Having received condescending and unhelpful "support" over the last 3 days from customer service reps, we finally spoke to Sean today who not only believed us when we explained what had been happening and that it was not possible for my daughter to have sent nearly 3000 txts in a month, he also credited the account with $100 so that we do not have to pay the extra that we have been billed due to phone and service failures.

I have to say here that I was very close to cancelling my contract (and I have been with Vodafone since they started) and taking me and my daughter's money and loyalty elsewhere. But thanks to Sean's intervention - and being believed!!! - we remain happy customers at this time.

I can only hope that when my daughter returns to the vodafone outlet with her crappy phone today, for the 3rd time, that they will also show their ability to provide good service and replace the damn thing, instead of sending it away yet again (and sent back and being told its "fine"). They should have done this with the phone when we took it back 2 week after purchasing it and the contract that goes with it. Wish us luck.

Meanwhile, thank YOU Sean for assisting us with at least half of our current difficulties - and maintaining our loyalty to the organisation for whom you work. Being listened to, and believed, is a huge thing - and I believe my past record demonstrates my viability as a customer. Thank you for noticing that!

All the best to you, and your team, for the 2009 year.......long may you prevail over Telecom! *smile*
kind regards from Linda W
